not to say unbelievable or unexpected
because i believed in its quality, since i myself had one
no, not the the most current one, but the 1st edition ie CX1
look what i HIGHLIGHTED??
whilst it was true that it was SUPERB QUALITY
which i never doubt [except its repairing services]
the true problem that Ricoh hasn't been doing well in Malaysia and LATELY
is because of the lacking of advertisement
and the marketing department is sadly.. not so 'aggressive'
and fyi, the awards are not based by Malaysian voters, but American's or Europe.. whatever.
seems to me that Ricoh
Photocopier Compact Camera need to establish its name in the world,
not ONLY here, Malaysia.
of course i do understand that nothing MAJOR can be done since its not like
canon or sony which hv unlimited funds [coz they did venture into other electronic as well]
[oh, ricoh CC and ricoh photocopy are of DIFF management/ company]
im not asking for some silly Ambassador to pose and claim that
"I'm a proud Ricoh user"thats too canon-ish.
[oops. sorry. but thats a FACT]
advertising it in newspaper / magazine is good enough.
so that people know ITS EXISTANCE,
rather than people keep thinking its a photocopy machine.
and magazine, i do not mean Photography / IT mags [which they hd been currently doing]
because 90% of the BUYER in Malaysia [ at least ]
is a layman who wouldn't bother to look into them.
everyone do acknowledge its goodness,
thing is, DO THEY TRUST THE BRAND??
why would people pay more for a SONY when obviously its not as good as Ricoh?
its because people believe and trusted the brand.
many of the customers I've encountered said they know Ricoh is good,
but they are "somewhat scared" because its not a brand that people would recommend.
yes i do believe Ricoh camera are targeted to those
who are more well versed in photography or geeky [like me. lol]
fact is... people who buy it are people who only knew
how high the mega pixel? how to zoom, and click shutter & playback images.
salesman's eloquence in the product is essentially important.
but sometimes when you've done your best convincing customer to buy
and yet they still resorted to other brand in the end
because they don't have FAITH.
sounds so much like dragging an unwilling person to church [wanted a Canon but showed them Ricoh]
listening to sermon [explained what a Ricoh can do and others can't]
hv to come church every week, observe the commandments for eternal life [adjust ISO, WB and etc for a great shot]
don't really believe how great thou art is, [don't believe in Ricoh products]
and.. i think I'm still more suitable to become a Buddhist [turn their gaze to the 1st camera they wanted to c]
BECAUSE
less fuss, and im willing to pay more.
its UNFAIR.
i've done my best.
but customer cannot accept it.
and i hv no sales.
whose fault is it NOW?
maybe what i write would caused me to be sacked of my job
but, this is solely my opinion as to how to boost the sales.
and if you can't accept my way of 'troubleshooting' the problem,
fine, leave it and have it your way.
im only a part-timer promoter to begin with.
people out there who reads this,
im not praising Ricoh good because i sells it
but because i am its USER too.
see the award it get?
it WON over the oh-so-popular Panasonic TZ7 and Canon's S90.
seriously, give me a chance to re-buy a compact camera,
i will still choose Ricoh
:)
